3rd ranked Cedar Falls - making their first state appearance in 4 years - looked to advance past Cedar Rapids Kennedy on Tuesday -

Tigers already up a set as Emma Gerdes gets the kill to keep them rolling in the second -

moments later - Grace Burken's kill finds the floor to end it 25, 20 -

but Kennedy - behind the hammer from Paige Franck rallies to take the 3rd 25, 16 -

but after faltering - the Tigers get it together - Alicia Harrington drives one of her team high 18 kills off a block - it sends CF to the semis with a 3, 1 win --

12th ranked Dubuque Hempstead would go right after top ranked West Des Moines Dowling -

After falling in the first set - Kasey Davis brought the Mustangs back - winning 27-25 in the second -

and they would roll in 3 and 4 - Davis pounds home the match winner, 25, 13 in game 4 - Hempstead pulls off the upset in 3-1 over Dowling -

Iowa City West - meanwhile - down a set to number 2 Bettendorf - trying to rally in the second -

Ali Tauchen's kill would give them a 16 - 14 lead -

but Bettendorf comes back - Margaret Micka's kill leads to a 25-22 win -in the end the Bulldogs would sweep West to move on.
