A train carrying coal derailed this morning in southern Iowa.
BNSF says it happened just after 8 a.m. The train hit a road grader at a rural crossing about five miles east of New London.
BNSF says 21 cars and two locomotives derailed. The train has 135 cars.
The person operating the road grader was injured, but BNSF says their injuries are not life threatening.
