C.J. Beathard hit George Kittle midway through the 4th quarter to seal a 35-27 victory over Indiana moving the Hawkeyes to 9-0 on the season. The Iowa record matches the best start in school history set by the 2009 team.

Despite obvious pain from a groin injury, Beathard gutted out a solid performance. He put Iowa ahead for good late in the first half with a big headfirst leap in to the endzone for a 4 point halftime advantage.

Iowa's running backs also had a solid day. Akrum Wadley scored on a 65 yard touchdown run on the second play from scrimmage in the game. LeShun Daniels added a pair of short scoring scampers to help the Hawkeyes remain perfect.

Defensively, Desmond King picked up a late interception, his 8th of the season tying the Iowa single season record.

The Hawkeyes will look to continue the streak when they host Minnesota in the battle for Floyd of Rosedale next week.
