Yemen braces for second tropical cyclone in a week

MUKALLA, Yemen (NBC) -

A rare tropical cyclone tore through southeastern Yemen earlier this week, killing at least eight people.

The storm made landfall on Tuesday and dumped several year's worth of rain on the war-torn country.

It caused severe flooding and widespread damage to roads, homes and bridges.

The UN Refugee Agency estimates more than a million people were impacted by the storm.

Today, another cyclone is heading for the Asian country. The new storm is expected to hit on Sunday, bringing heavy rain and winds of up to 62 miles per hour.
