Late turnover, touchdown push top ranked Regina past West Branch

The quest for a sixth straight state title is still alive for the Iowa City Regina football team. The Regals capitalized on a 4th quarter touchdown to defeat second ranked West Branch 35-28.

Following a 4th quarter fumble by the Bears, Regina quarterback Nate Stenger scored on a 2-yard keeper for a 7-point lead, capping a back and forth battle. Regina's Jack Jensen sealed the game with an interception on West Branch's final drive.

The loss was the first of the season for the Bears as Regina advances to the state semifinals for a 6th straight season. The Regals will face 5th ranked Dike-New Hartford for a chance to return to the class 1A state championship game.
