French Onion Sliders

Makes about 10 sliders

Total time: 30 minutes


2 sweet onions, sliced

1 tsp. butter

1 tsp. olive oil

1 pound ground beef

2 Tbsp. bread crumbs

1 ½ Tbsp. French onion seasoning (see below)

10 sliders rolls

2 ounces grated Gouda cheese (or your favorite smoked cheese)

French Onion Seasoning

½ cup dried onion flakes

1 tsp. onion powder

1 tsp. garlic powder

½ tsp. celery salt

½ tsp. black pepper

1 tsp. dried parsley

1 tsp. sea salt


MELT butter in a large skillet; ADD oil and sliced onions. COOK on low for 25-30 minutes, or until onions are tender and caramelized. COMBINE French onion seasoning ingredients and STORE in an airtight container. COMBINE ground beef, bread crumbs and seasoning together with a fork. PRESS into an 8x8 baking dish and BAKE at 400°F for 20-30 minutes, or until internal temperature reaches 160°F. REMOVE from oven and layer with caramelized onions and cheese.
