Hormel Foods is recalling 153 cases of Skippy Reduced Fat Creamy Peanut Butter Spread.

This is because the company announced Friday on its website that small pieces of metal shavings were found in the product during routine cleaning.

The company is recalling only 16.3-ounce jars with an expiration date of DEC1416LR1 and a package UPC code of 37600-10500 found on top of the lid.

The company said the jars of peanut butter had been sent to distribution centers in Georgia, Virginia, Alabama, North Carolina, South Carolina, Delaware and Arkansas.
