IOWA CITY (KWWL) -

The Hawkeyes are 7 and 0, but this Saturday's football game against Maryland has yet to sell out.

Some fans say they're concerned, considering much of the University of Iowa's student body attends games, especially with how well the Big 10 team is playing.

The school's Director of Athletic Communication, Steve Roe, says it most likely has to do with Maryland's fans not traveling across the country to see the game.

"There's several things that go into ticket sales," Roe says. "whether it's season tickets sales, whether it's individual game ticket sales, the opponent, Maryland being new to the Big 10 conference."

Many recent games saw the Hawkeyes playing nearby schools, so fans of opposing teams could easily travel to Iowa City and fill Kinnick Stadium.

Roe says the game this weekend should still be one of the highest attended games for Hawkeye fans this season.
