MASON CITY (AP) -

A Mason City man is sentenced to 25 years in prison for breaking into a Subway restaurant and setting it on fire last year.

Court records say Ethan Miller, 23, was sentenced Tuesday in Cerro Gordo County District Court.

A jury convicted him of arson, theft and possession of a controlled substance.

Authorities say Miller was an employee when he broke into the restaurant while it was closed on Dec. 29.

Investigators say they think Miller had intended to commit a theft.

The restaurant was heavily damaged and was closed six months for repairs.
