*********************************************************************************************

Two women were injured in a crash on Highway 63 Monday afternoon.

The Black Hawk County Sheriff's Office responded to a crash at Highway 63 and E. Cedar-Wapsi Road at around 12:40 p.m. Monday.

Deputies say a vehicle driven by 61-year-old Karen Johns of Cedar Falls was headed north on Highway 63 when a vehicle driven by 74-year-old Phyllis Sage of Waterloo, which was headed east on E. Cedar-Wapsi Road ran a stop sign and crashed into Johns' vehicle.

Both women were taken to Allen Hospital in Waterloo. Johnson had injuries to her chest. Sage had multiple injuries.

The investigation continues.
