IOWA CITY, Iowa (AP) -- An Iowa City church has lost its legal challenge to the City Council's approval of plans for the 15-story Chauncey Tower mixed use residential building.

Trinity Episcopal Church sought the judicial review of the council's June 8 vote to rezone the site, which is across a street from the church. The Iowa City Press-Citizen reports that the church said the tower plans violated the city's comprehensive plan and used inaccurate calculations on the property's zoning. Judge Paul Miller disagreed in the ruling issued Thursday.

The church's attorney, Christopher Warnock, says he'll discuss an appeal with church leaders.
