IOWA CITY (KWWL) -

The City of Iowa City will host the 32nd annual Human Rights Awards Breakfast Wednesday, October 28th. 

University of Iowa's Department of Rehabilitation and Counselor Education adjunct lecturer Orville H. Townsend, Sr. will give the keynote address, "Racism: A Community Puzzle."

A member of the Iowa City Human Rights Commission and Iowa City Community School Board is set to join Townsend in delivering the address.

Additionally, six people will receive awards that recognize their efforts on behalf of human rights.

The breakfast will be held at the Iowa Memorial Union at 125 N. Madison Street. Breakfast will be available at 7:15 a.m. and the program is scheduled to start at 7:30 a.m.
