New craze in Russia: sledgehammer stress relief

Posted: Updated:
MOSCOW, Russia (KWWL) -

People living in the Russian capital of Moscow are taking advantage of a unique and rather intense way of relieving pent-up stress.

It is called sledgehammer stress relief.

Stressed out Russians are paying quite a bit of money to destroy furniture in furnished mock-up apartments.

The project is called "debosh" -- which means something similar to "riot" in Russian.

Safety equipment is provided, which includes goggles, helmets and head-to-toe safety suits.

Customers pay anywhere from $160 to $480 to bring down a fully furnished room, all through the art of sledgehammer destruction.
