Local city halls burglarized

Posted: Updated:
WORTHINGTON (KWWL) -

Authorities are trying to piece together a number of recent burglaries at local city halls.

"There's a lot of similarities  between what happened between us and what happened in Delaware County,"  said Cascade Police Chief Fred Heim.

The Delhi,  Worthington and Cascade  city halls  were all broken into over the weekend.

In  all incidents, small amounts of cash were stolen.

The Unity Point Clinic in Cascade was also broken into over the weekend.

Not too far away in Worthington, their city hall was also burglarized.  The city clerk says about $210 was stolen.

Kristy Kramer has been living in Worthington for nearly twenty years and can't believe someone would break-in into the city hall.

"We feel very bad, it's  very unfortunate...that  something like that would happen  in  a small town like this," said Kramer.

Kramer doesn't think the break-ins represent her town.

"Otherwise it's still a  safe place, but it is unfortunate that it happened."

Officials say they believe these incidents are connected.

They say  no personal information  was taken  from city offices and are still investigating.
