IOWA CITY (KWWL) -

Hawkeyes assistant football coach Brian Ferentz has been named the CoachingSearch.com Offensive Line Coach of the Week.

Ferentz, who is also the son of the head coach, received the honor following the Hawkeyes 29-20 win over Illinois at Kinnick Stadium on Saturday.

Hawkeyes running backs rushed for 278-yards in the game, that included a fourth quarter drive that included 11 straight rushing attempts that help use nearly seven minutes of game time.

The offensive line helped Jordan Canzeri rack up 256-yards on 43 attempts. Canzeri's 43 carries set a school record.

The Hawkeyes offensive line began the game with a backup left tackle and then lost their starting right tackle during the game.
