DUBUQUE (KWWL) -

The National Mississippi River Museum and Aquarium in Dubuque has closed the book on its most successful exhibit to date.

More than 100,000 people flocked to see "Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition" over the summer, Marketing Director John Sutter said today in a release.

In that span, the museum attracted more than 150,000 people and have seen more than 200,000 for the calendar year.  They expect a total attendance of about 230,000 for the year, just shy of the record 250,000 they drew in 2004, their opening year.
