Posted: Updated:
In 2A District 6, red hot Aplington-Parkersburg hosted South Hardin. Sixth ranked Aplington-Parkersburg has won five straight games since losing its season opener.

Early in the first quarter, Aplington-Parkersburg quarterback Cade Alberts rolled out and went deep to Shane Poppens for a big 42 yard touchdown reception. This put the Falcons up 8-0.

Alberts wasn't finished yet as he found Cody Johnson for a big gain to put the Falcons in scoring distance. Isaac Ubben would cap off the drive with a five yard touchdown run giving the Falcons a 15 point lead.

South Hardin was looking to re-gain momentum on offense but quarterback Ty Cook fumbled the snap and Aplington-Parkersburg linebacker Miles Grandon would recover the loose ball.

The Falcons would take advantage of the costly turnover with another Alberts touchdown pass. This time Alberts connected with Tyler Duster for a five yard score to give the Falcons a 22-0 lead in the second quarter.

Aplington-Parkersburg would take this one with ease by the score of 50-14 as the Falcons win their sixth straight game.
