Wild horses available for adoption October 9-10 in Decorah

Dozens of wild horses will be up for adoption by the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) on October 9-10 in Decorah.
The BLM will offer 40 wild horses ranging from yearlings to five years-old at the American Sales and Ag Supply in Decorah.
Horses will be available for preview starting at 2:00 Friday afternoon and the adoption will be held from 8:00 - 4:00 on Saturday.
Animals less than three years of age can be adopted for $125, while a second animal can be adopted for $25 which is the same rate for animals older than three years.
All of the horses up for adoption have been checked out by a veterinarian, vaccinated, de-wormed and blood-tested. 
To adopt, you've got to be 18 years old and able to give the horse(s) access to food, water and shelter.
Applications to adopt can be submitted at American Sales and Ag Supply on Friday or Saturday.
