UPDATE:

Dubuque Police confirm they are looking for two suspects in connection to Sunday night's shooting death of a 21-year-old from Freeport, Ill.

Lt. Scott Baxter says they're looking to question Norris Culver, Jr., 30, and Kohlvidas Lee, 27, who could be headed to the Chicago area.

News reports advise that both men are considered armed and dangerous and could be driving a 2001 Chevrolet SUV with Iowa license plates DJF 939.

"It scared the heck out of me...it's too close to home," says Walter Harrison.

Too close...because Walter Harrison lives right across the street from a shooting that has left one man dead.

Police responded to the 700 block of Rhomberg Avenue and found 21-year old James "Jimmy" D. Richardson of Freeport, Illinois unresponsive behind a beauty salon.

Harrison heard it all.

"I heard consecutive gun shot fire...probably  about five rounds."

Police also recovered a gun on the scene.

Witnesses say  police  performed CPR on the victim, but they were unable to save him.

Many people in the community have been vocal about the increasing violence.  KWWL asked Chief Mark Dalsing with the Dubuque Police Department does Dubuque have a gang problem.

"It's something that we've always monitored, we've been monitoring it for 20 years, so we have a pretty good handle on who's who and who's affiliated. Very seldom do we have something that's gang related," said Dalsing.

Harrison says there's another problem.

"But I also think a lot of it is drug related.  I think there's a lot of drugs in Dubuque."

He worries for his family.

"I worry about that because shootings like this, they can happen day or night, and I just don't want them come walking outside and find one of my grand kids laying on the ground with a bullet in them."
