MINNEAPOLIS (KWWL) -

KWWL News was recognized three times for excellence in television during the 2015 Upper Midwest Regional Emmy Awards Gala.

The 6 p.m. news team won an Emmy for Best Newscast, and the content included live aerial coverage of a train crash near Galena, Illinois.

Amanda Goodman also won an Emmy for her work on the False Alarm Story.

Her story focused on testing children for a house fire.

Jerry Gallagher also won an Emmy for his Honor Flight Story.

Jerry's story discussed a special Honor Flight where he joined his father and a group of World War II Veterans in Washington, D.C. to visit the memorial built in their honor.

KWWL News Director, Shane Moreland, also attended the Emmy awards.
