DUBUQUE (KWWL) -

Dubuque Police are investigating a home burglary that happened while a woman inside the home was tied up with string and duct tape.

It happened on the 1700 block of Vizaleea Drive at about 2 a.m. Saturday morning.

According to Lt. Ramirez  the 53-year-old woman says one male entered the home alone.  She couldn't give a description of the suspect.

Authorities say she was able to untie herself and call police.

The woman is okay and didn't need medical attention.

Lt. Ramirez says supposedly cash was taken from the home, but didn't say how much.

This investigation is ongoing.
