PARKERSBURG (KWWL) -

Helping Iowans is clearly a passion for Dallas Clark. He spent the day Thursday empowering students at the Ed Thomas Foundation Leadership Academy.

"But Dallas believes in what we're doing and once he finally moved back from Indianapolis, he said I'm there just let me know," said Aaron Thomas, Aplington Parkersburg High School principal.

Dallas, from Livermore is a former Iowa Hawkeye and NFL great. What he's working on now, has got him fired up.

"It's a win win for everyone and it's exciting to see where it's gone," said Clark.

In August there will be a first ever concert at Kinnick stadium, somewhere that's near and dear to Dallas's heart.

"Playing there and cutting the grass in the summer and just everything involved there and just the goosebumps I get going back there and the memories," said Clark.

The concert will be a huge fundraiser for for his new foundation, The Native Fund.

Clark says his foundation will help families during a natural disaster, with children hospitals and veterans.

"Iowans helping Iowans is kind of our slogan. and it's going to make a huge impact and we're excited to see the lives that we're gonna change," said Clark.

Blake Shelton will be performing and it will take place next August. Tickets go on sale Wednesday.
