CEDAR FALLS (KWWL) -

A traffic stop in Cedar Falls on Tuesday led to the arrests of three people, including a teenager who police say had a gun and drugs.

Police pulled over a car in the 1100 block of East Lone Tree Road.  They say 14-year-old Daquon Boldon of Waterloo ran from the stopped car, threw a handgun into the weeds and also tried to get rid of two bags of marijuana.

The handgun was a 9mm Ruger.

Police caught Boldon and charged him with possession of marijuana, carrying weapons, and interference with official acts.

Police arrested the driver of the vehicle, 32-year-old Brandon Pendleton, and charged him with driving while suspended.

A second passenger in the vehicle, 18-year-old Ny'Jawon Alexander, was arrested for possession of marijuana.
