WATERLOO (KWWL) -

1,000 fourth graders will be running in the 17th Annual Mayor's Fun Run.

The run will be held on September 29 at 9:45 a.m. at the RiverLoop Expo Plaza in downtown Waterloo.

There will be a short program before the run where KWWL's Ron Steele will serve as Master of Ceremonies and Mayor Buck Clark will kick-off the event.

Students will receive a t-shirt saying, "I Ran with the Mayor" and a sack lunch.

Around 11:45 a.m. students will board buses and spend the rest of the afternoon learning about healthy activities and venues offered in the Cedar Valley.
