7-year-old boy assaulted by group of kids

UPDATE: Waterloo Police tell us the seven year old, who is the victim, struck a kindergartener, which upset the kindergarteners older brother who is also seven.

The older brother then assaulted the victim.

 The investigation is still ongoing as police are talking with all the parties involved.

The boy is expected to go back to school tomorrow.

Police confirmed a 7-year-old boy was assaulted by six to eight other kids yesterday afternoon.

The assault happened on the 200 block of Adams Street. The boy was taken to Allen Hospital.

KWWL spoke with the boy's mom. She said he is doing OK.  She said when he was found, he was crouching over and he was having a hard time breathing.

The boy is expected to go back to school tomorrow.
