Iowa sweeps the competition away with a 62-16 win over North Texas
The University of Iowa Hawkeyes brought their best to the field when they went head to head with the North Texas Eagles on Saturday.
Right off the bat Iowa made a statement with two touchdowns in the first quarter.
In the second quarter, Iowa continued to show up the other team when they scored two more touchdowns. The Eagles were soon to answer with 2 field goals and a touchdown of their own, but Iowa shut them down with a third touchdown just before halftime.
The score going into halftime was 35-13, with Iowa in the lead.
In the third quarter, North Texas snuck up behind Iowa with a successful field goal, but Iowa brushed it off and through the rest of the game made 4 more touchdowns securing their win.
Iowa won by a final of 62-16.
