BELLE PLAINE (KWWL) -

7-year-old LilliAnne Scott was quick to act when a family member suffered a medical emergency at her home on August 30th.

LilliAnne called 911 and gave dispatchers enough information to get rescuers to the home.

Today Tama County EMA/911 and Belle Plaine Ambulance Service recognized LilliAnne Scott at Longfellow Elementary School.

LilliAnne was able to meet Dispatcher Jamie Youngbear, who received the 911 call that evening.

She also received a certificate of recognition, a gift card from Pizza Hut, and a lollipop bouquet.

The rest of her 1st grade class were given pencils, rulers, temporary tattoos, and a reference sheet to write down vital contact information to stick on the refrigerator in case of emergency.
