IOWA CITY (KWWL) -

The City of Iowa City’s Streets and Parks Divisions will be working together next week to make repairs to two sections of the Iowa River Trail.

On Tuesday, Sept. 29, the sections of trail that run from Napoleon Lane, where the City’s Streets and Parks offices are located, north to the area near Hills Bank, at the intersection of Highway 6 and Gilbert Street, will be closed. An aerial map of the trail area that will be impacted is attached.

Signage will be posted at various trailheads and trail access points to notify users. The trail will be reopened by 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 30.

For more information, call the Parks and Recreation Information Desk at 319-356-5100.
