WATERLOO (KWWL) -

The accused killer in a Black Hawk County trial involving meth, sex and his auto shop will not testify in his own defense.

Anthony Tronca was supposed to take the stand Monday. Tronca is accused of shooting killing Ronald Randall at his auto shop last year.

After a lot of discussion with his attorneys over the weekend, Tronca told the judge Monday morning he did not want to take the stand.

Now, the defense will call their first witness Tuesday morning. Closing arguments are slated for Wednesday morning.

The state believes Tronca killed Randall because he slept with Tronca's girlfriend.
