"State of Obesity" report ranks Iowa as 16th most obese state

The 12th annual "State of Obesity" report shows that Iowa is in the top 20 as far as the most obese states in the nation rank; Iowa ranks 16th, with 30.9% of Iowans considered obese. 
The report shows a large amount of regional and racial differences across the nation. 
23 of the 25 states with the highest rates are in the South and Midwest. Southern states have a higher prevalence of type 2 diabetes.
In 42 states, the obesity rates are at least 30% for African Americans; in 30 states that's the rate for Latinos, and in 13 states the rate in whites.
