People from all over the state of Iowa came together to remember those lost in Vietnam, missing in action.    i

The ceremony took place at the Five Sullivan Brothers Iowa Veteran Museum on Friday.

The program honored 25 veterans who are still missing from Vietnam. Family, friends, and even hometown mayors accepted a plaque to represent the member missing.

"And I think everybody felt togetherness here, that their loved one is remembered, that he's not here with us but in spirit. and I just feel so good at the number of people who came," said Janice Crowe.

Crowe's nephew, Richard Ayers went missing when his two-man F-4 Phantom was shot down in 1970. Crowe attended the ceremony in honor of him.

The museum has a display up right now honoring Vietnam veterans. It's called 365 & Counting: Iowans in the Vietnam War.
