Weather forcing high school football changes

Weather has forced a couple of schools to change plans for their Friday football games.

Cedar Rapids Jefferson has moved the start time of their varsity game against Davenport West at Kingston Stadium to 5:30 p.m. The sophomore game will be played Saturday at 12:30 p.m.

Cedar Rapids Xavier has moved their game against DeWitt to 5 p.m.

Our partners, TH Media, report the start time for the Tipton at Cascade varsity game has been moved up to 6 p.m.  There will be no JV game.

The Midland Community School District has moved their varsity game to 5:30 p.m. tonight. There will be no band, no JV game and no youth football. The cross country meet at Cascade has been postponed.

The Starmont Community School District has announced the time for their varsity football game at Easton Valley has been moved to 1 p.m. Saturday. They also were scheduled to participate in the Cascade cross country meet that has been postponed.
