Donald Trump is still holding the lead for Republican voters in Iowa.
According to a new Quinnipiac Poll released today, Trump takes the lead with 27% support. Dr. Ben Carson is not far behind with 21% support, and U.S. Senator Ted Cruz is next with 9% support in the poll.
One of the biggest notes is Scott Walker is now at 3% support, way behind in the pack. In Quinnipiac's July 1st poll, the Wisconsin Governor was at 18% support, with Trump and Carson at 10% each.
Meantime former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush has 6 percent of Iowa likely Republican Caucus participants, with 5 percent each for Carly Fiorina, Ohio Gov. John Kasich and U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio of Florida. No other candidate tops 4 percent, with 4 percent undecided.
Quinnipiac polled 1,038 likely Iowa caucus-goers between August 27-September 8. The margin of error is +/- 3 percentage points.
