WATERLOO (KWWL) -

The Iowa Department of Transportation says a resurfacing project on U.S. 218 in Black Hawk County will require some ramp closures beginning Sunday night.

Crews will widen and resurface U.S. 218 from Marigold Drive to the I-380/U.S. 20/U.S. 218 interchange.

The D.O.T. says the project requires closures of the following ramps:

- Eastbound U.S. 20 to southbound U.S. 218
- Westbound U.S. 20 to southbound U.S. 218
- Eastbound U.S. 20 to northbound I-380/U.S. 218
- Northbound U.S. 218 to westbound U.S. 20

The ramps will be closed from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. Sundays and from 7 p.m. until 6 a.m. Mondays through Thursdays,

Not all ramps will be closed at the same time.

Signed detours will be in place to direct traffic during the closures.

These nighttime closures will continue through late October.
