Bernie Sanders Takes Lead Over Hillary Clinton in New Iowa Poll

Bernie Sanders is now taking the edge over Hillary Clinton for the first time in Iowa.

According to a new Quinnipiac Poll released today, Sanders takes the lead with 41% support compared to Clinton's 40%. Vice President Joe Biden, who is considering a late entry into the race, received 12% support in the poll.

Former Maryland Governor Martin O'Malley earned 3% support in the poll, and former Virginia senator Jim Webb won 1%. Lincoln Chafee of Rhode Island did not register in the survey.

Quinnipiac polled 832 likely Iowa caucus-goers between August 27-September 8. The margin of error is +/- 3.4 percentage points.
