WATERLOO (KWWL) -

The 50th Anniversary of Hawkeye Community College will be marked with a temporary exhibit at the Grout Museum. The museum will be at 503 South Street in Waterloo.

The museum is asking for assistance from the public in order to tell Hawkeye's five-decade history. The museum is looking for artifacts and memorabilia. This may include photos, clothing, class projects, documents and other materials related to the college past and present.

Please call Erin Dawson, curator of exhibits, at 319-234-6357 or erin.dawson@gmdistrict.org Tuesday-Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. to schedule drop off of any materials. These items would be on temporary loan to the Grout Museum District and will be returned upon the close of the exhibit in 2017.

Hawkeye is also looking for alumni who can share their stories about attending Hawkeye and the impact it had on their lives and careers. Alumni can share those stories at www.hawkeyecollege.edu/go/your-story.
