Incumbent Board President defeated in Cedar Falls

Cedar Falls voters re-elected two incumbents, but ousted current Cedar Falls School Board President, Joyce Coil, in Tuesday's 2015 school board elections.

Coil finished 5th in a crowded field of seven candidates. Only the top four are elected to the Cedar Falls Board of Education. 

Incumbent, Jenny Leeper, received the most votes with 1,956,  

Leeper was followed by incumbent, Dr, James Kenyon, with 1,869.

Susie Hines also won a seat on the Cedar Falls School Board with 1,840 votes.

Jeff Hassman won the 4th seat with 1,772 votes.

Board President, Joyce Coil, was 5th with 1,751. 

The other two candidates, Hansel and Egger, received 1,288 and 620 votes, respectively.  There were 52 write in votes.
