WINTHROP (KWWL) -

A Waterloo Warrior hockey player died in a four-wheeler crash this weekend, according to the Clayton County Sheriff's Office.

It happened around 3 a.m. Sunday morning in Guttenberg.

Three teens hit a fence while riding a four-wheeler, causing all the riders to be thrown off the four-wheeler, according to the sheriff's office.

16-year-old Kurt Reidy of Winthrop was transported to the Guttenberg Hospital, where he later died.

The driver, 23-year-old Tyler Schladetzky, was treated for minor injuries. Another juvenile passenger was uninjured.

The accident remains under investigation by the Clayton County Sheriff's Office.

A celebration of life is set for Reidy for Tuesday night at 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the Monti Community Center.

A short memorial service will be held Wednesday from 9 to 11 a.m. at St. Pat's.

His obituary says, "His first love was family, and then hockey, playing for the Waterloo Warriors High School team."
