Another warm and humid night is in store ahead of a cold front that tracks through.

Along and ahead of the front, showers and thunderstorms will be tracking through the area.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch is in effect until 1AM for Allamakee, Black Hawk, Bremer, Butler, Chickasaw, Fayette, Grundy, Tama and Winneshiek counties.

There is a slight risk for severe weather for the northwestern half of the KWWL viewing area, but the main threat will be heavy rain.  Rainfall amounts tonight could be 1-2"+.  A Flash Flood Watch is out for Tama, Grundy and Black Hawk counties.

A few storms will linger into early Labor Day.  Expect some dry hours Monday, but the front stalls out and lifts back north by Monday afternoon and evening, giving us another chance for showers and storms.  Those linger into Tuesday, and once again heavy rainfall is possible.

Cooler, more comfortable conditions follow by the middle of the work week.

We'll keep you updated.
