UPDATE: According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 45-year-old Steven Boland of Cedar Rapids was driving a 2015 Four Winns boat before 11:25 p.m. Friday when the boat hit the Lake of the Ozarks shore in Missouri.

Mikayla Boland and Abigail Williams, both of Cedar Rapids, and Cynthia Williams of Des Moines, were also injured during the crash.

According to Missouri State Troopers, their injuries were serious, and the boat damage was extensive.

All four people were airlifted to hospitals to be treated.

Williams was taken to Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri.

The other three people were flown to University Hospital.

Four people from Iowa have suffered serious injuries after their motorboat hit the shore on the Lake of the Ozarks in Missouri.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the grounding happened late Friday.

Three of the people are from Cedar Rapids, and the fourth is from Des Moines.

All four people were flown from the scene for medical treatment.
