Georgia parents allegedly attacked by their own two sons

SNELLVILLE, Ga. (KWWL) -

Police were called to a home in suburban Atlanta this weekend after a distraught mother said her two sons were trying to kill her and her husband.

The father distracted 17-year-old Cameron Ervin and 22-year-old Christopher Ervin just long enough for the mother to call 9-1-1 Saturday morning.

When police arrived, they found the sons in different locations, and the parents had been seriously injured. The mother had been beaten badly while the father had been stabbed.

Both sons were arrested, and each were charged with two counts of aggravated assault.

"We're still investigating motive," said Gwinnett County Police Dept. Sgt. Rich Long. "They have been interviewed, they have been cooperative, but as far as confirmation of what the motive is, is still a mystery to us."

The severity of the parents' injuries haven't been determined, but both are expected to recover.
