WATERLOO (KWWL) -

Friends of a man and woman set to get married this weekend are working fast to gather items the couple needs for the wedding.

A van decked out in Hawkeye colors caught fire on Highway 20, just west of Highway 63, in Waterloo this morning.

Friends of the bride-to-be tell KWWL the bride was headed to Des Moines to prepare for her wedding and many of the things needed for the ceremony were inside.

Friends were reaching out to people on Facebook to get a wedding dress and a flower girl dress. They told us the bride was able to save the wedding rings.

Investigators aren't sure what caused the fire. No one was hurt.
