WATERLOO (KWWL) -

The Black Hawk County YMCA in Waterloo will see a change in leadership soon. CEO Jim Langel announced he is resigning effective September 4.

Chief Volunteer Officer Vince Jenness said, “We are grateful to Jim for his dedication and focus on sustainability. During his tenure, Jim provided leadership to our YMCA that resulted in growth in programs and services to the community, and several needed facility improvements.” Jenness added, “This is a family based decision that we respect, Jim will certainly be missed.”

The Board of Directors has selected Andrew Peters as the interim CEO.
