Jesup man injured after car collides with backhoe

BLACK HAWK COUNTY (KWWL) -

A Jesup man was taken to the hospital after the car he was driving collided with a backhoe.

The Black Hawk County Sheriff's Office says deputies were called to the intersection of Cotter Road and E. Eagle Road at about 1:32 p.m.

Deputies say a car driven by 62-year-old Bruce Jordan was headed east on Eagle Road when he collided with a backhoe driven by 63-year-old Richard Williams of Rowley who was headed south on Cotter Road.

Jordan was taken to Covenant Medical Center with minor injuries.

The accident remains under investigation.
