Two vacancies on the Johnson County Board of Health

The Johnson County Board of Supervisors is looking for two people to full vacancies on the Johnson County Board of Health.

The open spots are for three-year terms starting January 1, 2016 and expiring December 31, 2018.

Duties of this board include leadership in promoting environmental, personal, and public health through health promotion, disease prevention, education, and regulation.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Attending all regular Board of Health meetings and attendance at other meetings and functions deemed necessary to fulfill the mission of Public Health;

  • Facilitating resolution of issues that come before the Board; including matters that pertain to Disease Prevention, WIC/MCH, Assessment/Health Promotion, and Administration Divisions; and

  • Maintaining an awareness of current public health issues affecting Johnson County.
