CEDAR FALLS (KWWL) -

The University of Northern Iowa Counseling Center has launched a new after-hours service to make counseling assistance available to students any time of the day. The Counseling Center is contracting with ProtoCall, a company that specializes in providing services after-hours to university counseling centers and other mental health systems.

When students call the Counseling Center at 319-273-2676 after normal office hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., they will have an option to speak with a mental health counselor immediately. UNI students and anyone concerned about a UNI student are eligible to use the service.

For more information about the Counseling Center's new after-hours service, contact David Towle, Counseling Center director, at 319-273-2676 or david.towle@uni.edu, or visit www.uni.edu/counseling.
