IOWA CITY (KWWL) -

Monday the third finalist looking to become the next president of the University of Iowa will be on campus.

Tulane University's Michael Bernstein visited campus Friday. He talked about the challenges of keeping the university in good financial shape without hurting academic programs.

He says he'd like to see the University of Iowa on par with the University of Michigan and the University of California, Berkeley, which he considers to be the best public universities in the country.

"To serve the University of Iowa in an executive leadership capacity would be a remarkable privilege," said Bernstein.

Oberlin College President Marvin Krislov visited campus Thursday.

The Board of Regents is expected to choose the new president later this week.
