WATERLOO (KWWL) -

Waterloo Police have identified the driver accused of hitting 10-year old Tysen Taylor with her pick-up Wednesday evening.

Captain Dave Mohlis says an officer found a vehicle that matched the description.

Waterloo Police cited 70-year old Marianne Skeries of Waterloo. She admitted to being the driver.

The accident happened near the 'six corners' in Waterloo. Tysen says he was playing a game of catch with his brother when the ball went into the roadway.

He says he looked both ways and even got the go ahead to cross the road from another vehicle. That's when the truck hit him.

Police say the woman in the vehicle says she stopped and checked Tysen. Capt. Mohlis says a witness came out of their home to check on Tysen and he said he was OK.

Police ticketed Skeries for failure to report personal injury accident, a simple misdemeanor.
