Iowa's trappers may be selected for national trapping survey

BLACK HAWK COUNTY (KWWL) -

Iowa trappers with a fur harvester license for the 2014-2015 season may be selected to participate in a national survey on the use of traps by trappers, according to the Iowa Department of Natural Resources.
Those with the DNR says this survey is being conducted with the Association of Fish and Wildlife Agencies to get information on the use of traps to aid in the best management practices for trapping for the next decades.
The survey starts on August 20; nearly Iowa fur harvester licenses were sold last year.
Iowa's trappers participated in this survey in 1992 and 1994.
