DUBUQUE (KWWL) -

Republican presidential candidate and businessman, Donald Trump is back on the campaign trail. He spoke to a packed house at his Make America Great Again Rally held at the Grand River Center in Dubuque.

About 3,000 thousand trump supporters were in attendance.

"I loved it, he's my man," said Mary-Ellen Daudemberger.

"I like Donald Trump he tells it like it is," agreed Art Simel.

"I think Donald will be for us, I think he'll help us out," said Donna Obberfoel.

But there were also some that were on the fence. "I'd like to consider myself open minded, I'd like to hear what the other candidates do have to say," said Todd Peil.

Trump who's known for making controversial comments, didn't shy away from making some zingers.

There's something about Washington, they look at these beautiful buildings and beautiful halls and all of a sudden  become impotent...is that an appropriate word? I think so."

Trumps campaign promise is to make America great again and says he can do this because of his success in the business sector.

In his speech, the presidential hopeful spoke on securing the country's border, creating jobs and strengthening the military.

"The American dream to a large extent is in trouble, but we're going to make it bigger and better and stronger than ever before," said Trump.

The latest campaign polls show Donald Trump is leading all Republican candidates in the race to the White House.
